Luna Malbroux
Luna (she/her) is an experienced facilitator, educator and leader on creating inclusive spaces, Luna is most notably, a self-described ‘joy evangelist’, who believes that fostering belonging, communication, connection and fun (yes, fun!), is the missing link in many approaches to diversity, equity, justice and inclusion initiatives. A skilled storyteller, her practices include using empathy, humor, and personal narrative to help build group dynamics and consensus. Luna has years of experience guiding small to large national organizations in building more authentic inclusivity to cater to the needs of elected members and clients. Luna has a masters in clinical social work and international welfare from Columbia University, combined with continual advanced training from Race Forward, Somatica Institute (a program focused on understanding sex, relationship and gender dynamics), and other intersectional institutions that continue to push forward on new and rediscovered ways of changing systems of discrimination and cyclical oppression.
Eric Fleming
Eric (he/they) is a dynamic innovator with over 10+ years of experience as a certified life coach, award winning sommelier, event producer, and educator. Acting as our Secretary of Innovation and Growth here at Joy Channel, Eric creates content (podcasts, workshops, live experiences, etc.) designed to spark change within individuals and organizations, ultimately leading to shifts in culture. Eric is a 2013 graduate of Gestalt therapy based program, Coaching for Transformation and is certified with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He has also continued his education with certifications in implicit bias and organizational leadership DEI through Rice University, and the Internal Family Systems Model through the ICF. Throughout all of their work, Eric’s mission has been to innovate in order to create community, entertain, and educate.
Glenn Carrere
Glenn (he/him) is an assessor, trainer, and facilitator whose focus is on improving the world through collaboration and empowerment. He is originally from Los Angeles but has called Chicago home since 2008. After initially serving in student leadership roles at UC Berkeley, he started his career working in higher education. He initially worked directly with University of Chicago undergraduate students and alumni where his role focused on co-curricular programming, volunteer training, and student engagement. He later took on a role working with MBA students at the Chicago Booth School of Business as an admissions officer. Glenn's major focus in leadership and READI work is on how to improve the culture of organizations and the lives of individuals during times of transition and hopes to broaden and redefine the concept of "professionalism". He has spoken at SXSW about how to increase engagement and productivity in the workplace using games and play and has co-hosted two podcasts: "Party Chat" and "Meh-Sculinity". Glenn has a *problematically* large board game collection that he hopes to continue leveraging as a community-building resource.
Rodneya Hart
Rodneyna, MBA, (she/her) has been instrumental in the development of art and cultural advancements in Louisiana professionally for over ten years. Advocating for more accessible, inclusive, and intersectional cultural spaces, Hart created pop-up art events open to all with an educational component providing professional development and resources to emerging artists. Over the years, she has lent her voice to public speaking engagements and media promotions in support of building an enriched cultural community. Rodneyna has served on numerous history, arts, and culture boards and given her time, energy, and resources generously to various organizations and initiatives. Rodneyna received a gubernatorial appointment to the Louisiana State Arts Council in 2017 and served as the Council’s representative on the Folklife Commission for Louisiana. In 2018, Rodneyna was chosen as one of Baton Rouge Business Report’s Forty Under 40. In 2019, she was selected as the winner of the coveted Mercedes Benz Prize for her 2018 Forty Under 40 class. In January 2019, Rodneyna accepted the position of Division Director for the Louisiana State Museum overseeing the four regional museums in Baton Rouge, Thibodaux, Patterson, and Natchitoches. Hart adds structural support to further the success of each institution through programming, promotion, partnerships, and exhibitions that strategically meet the needs of the communities served.
Molly McHenry
Molly (she/her) is a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner who has cared for medically disenfranchised children, adolescents, and young adults for over 15 years. Her career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital began in the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center medical center and the Transgender Clinic and over the past few years has shifted to splitting her time between a school-based community health center, the Environmental Health Clinic, and the CHECK Foster Care Clinic. She received her bachelor of science in nursing and family nurse practitioner degrees from Columbia University and her psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati. She started her nursing career in New York City working on an inpatient HIV unit while completing multiple clinical rotations caring for unhoused youth through the Health Outreach To Teens (HOTT) program at the Callen Lorde Community Health Clinic. She continued her career caring for unhoused, HIV+, and LGBTQ+ youth through the Sidney Borum Jr Health Center, the adolescent medicine arm of Fenway Health in Boston, MA. She continues to serve as a core faculty member of Fenway Health’s LGBTQ+ Health Education Center and frequently offers workshops and talks on topics including sexual health through a queer lens, trauma-informed care, caring for LGBTQ+ youth, and race and incarceration. Through the Education Center, she served as a faculty member on the first-ever ECHO training session pertaining to providing care to members of the LGBTQ+ community. Her medical practice is rooted in harm-reduction, racial equity, empowerment, and justice as she strives to help close gaps to access through empathy, advocacy, and education. As a foster parent and member of the LGBTQ+ community herself, Molly understands firsthand the need for comprehensive, compassionate and consistent care for the communities she serves.
A.J. Haynes
A.J. Haynes (she/her) is a Black and Filipina queer artist, singer, songwriter, educator, actress, and reproductive justice advocate hailing from the South. She is the leader of genre-expansive soul power band Seratones, acclaimed both nationally and internationally. She is also the former board chair of the Louisiana Abortion Fund—the first Black-led abortion fund in the state—and has over a decade of abortion care experience. She believes art is community care, that our bodies are sites for liberation and joy. In her moments away from traversing the globe, she resides in a North Mississippi village with a plethora of wild birds, some very mischievous possums, and her garden.
Alice Moore
Alice (she/her) is a certified health coach who has been facilitating groups and coaching individuals for over 25 years. Her radical healing work challenges the status quo of what health is and isn’t honoring each person’s wisdom and body. She has a private practice in Oakland and continues to guide humans to get happy with food through a whole foods education and spiritual practices from a variety of cultures and ancient wisdom.
Alice is also a singer, actress and teaching artist currently teaching voice and piano to children of all ages. She continues to perform on stage and you can hear her voice-over prowess on many audio creations.
As the Energy Alchemist at Joy Channel, Alice delights in working with this powerful team continuing to learn the power of Joy for herself personally, then using that Joy to inspire cultural change and healing collectively.
Ben Stevens
Ben (he/him) is a dynamic facilitator and project manager who believes in “transforming the self to transform the world” (Grace Lee Boggs) and seeks to transform teams and organizations through deep partnership with individuals. Across non-profits, government agencies, and multinational firms, Ben has co-created authentic spaces where the conversation not being had is found, celebrated, and used to strategically shape more equitable, inclusive futures. He joyfully blows off steam in the icy waters of open water swimming in his downtime. Ben also brings people management experience from the Youth Development nonprofit sphere, where he supported the development of existing and future managers as a Program Director, and management consulting experience for CEOs in Workforce Development and Philanthropy nonprofits.
Vasi Eugenis
Vasi (she/her) is a social media manager and marketing specialist based out of NYC (where she was born and raised!). She graduated from New York University concentrating in the effect of storytelling and media on personal healing and social change. Through her studies and real life experiences, Vasi discovered the power of social media and decided to dedicate her work to finding positive ways to use social platforms for the greater good. She has brought her marketing expertise to countless non-profits including The Louisiana Abortion Fund, which she has been working with for over 2 years. Vasi is passionate about finding creative ways to tell important stories and when she is not scrolling on her phone, you can find her pursuing acting!
Maryam Modarressi
Maryam (she/her) currently splits her time between the United States and Colombia. Maryam is dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating life's challenges with grace and advocating for dignified departures. Her mission is simple: to live authentically, spread joy, and leave a legacy of laughter and melody. Maryam is a lifelong advocate for Reproductive Justice across all systems of oppression. In her quest for connection and understanding, Maryam explores languages as a social entrepreneur, as founder of Aspire, and is passionate about fostering connections through language and culture. She also serves as the Director of Marketing at JustChoice in Ohio, where she brings her expertise and creativity to further their mission. Brittney Kreimer
Brittney (she/her) is a nonprofit trailblazer with over 15 years of experience disrupting traditional paradigms across operations, human resources, culture, and finance. She believes all change is interpersonal change. She focuses on trust, relationships, accountability, conflict navigation, and belonging to grow teams, structures, and practices that prioritize equity and maximize impact. Brittney focuses on shared power, strengths-based leadership, and incorporating rest and healing into the culture of an organization. Her work has shown how nonprofits can lead from emergence and not scarcity to create sustainable working relationships.
A lifelong reproductive justice advocate (and newly elected Ohio official!), Brittney embodies the courage to raise her voice against injustice and the wisdom to amplify community leadership - especially when it comes to confronting abortion stigma and the harms of white supremacy.
